Great independent theatre. They have great deals for students and they will validate parking from the garage next door. The theatres are small, but comfortable so make sure you arrive early enough to get a good seat. Not all current movies are offered, but many popular ones are, and the independent films are incredible. They have regular events like Cult Classics 101 and other cool special showings.

The Gateway is the absolute best place for true movie lovers! Not only do they have every hit, main release and indie, but a bar, great snacks, and comfortable seats. It has it all!

This is a great mixed use development. It has Cazuela’s, a good Mexican restaurant, Gateway Theater, which plays both new and old movies with $2 tickets for OSU students, and some apartments. It also contains OSU’s entrepreneurship center and a few other businesses. In addition to that, there’s a parking garage behind the development. I gave the Gateway five stars because it has a great variety of amenities, and its designed to have a small pedestrianized street leading from High St to its parking garage, which is quite nice.

I love that it's locally owned and that it stocks local treats. Plus, it airs indie films and promotes local artists. They even hang local art that you can purchase! The seats are comfortable, and the theaters are small. The sound was up too loud, but a fellow patron asked them (twice) to turn it down, and then it was perfect 🥰 …

Love coming here to see horror movie and indie movies since they get a good selection compared to other theaters. Not as busy and people actually watch the movies instead of talking the whole time. Nice to see some people still have movie etiquette! Also the bar is amazing and the popcorn is tasty.

Went to a movie at the Gateway film center. Parking was relatively easy once I figure out where to park in the garage. I had a good time. Felt safe. Had no real issues getting in or out of the area.

Great destination of shops, eateries and a movie theater. Covered parking that is easily walkable. Easy access to The Ohio State University.

I've reviewed this place before. To me it's the best theater in Columbus. Second place would be the Drexel. Gateway has a nice choice of movies to watch. The place is always clean. Friendly staff big parking garage. One thing I enjoy is they feature local artists. Just outside the theater plenty of places to eat.😁 As I've said before best movie theater in Columbus 👍

This is a pretty nice theater. It will not have all the comfort of other chains like AMC but it definitely has more interesting decorations that keep changing, a selection of old movies and festival movies. Definitely worth a try.
